Woke up this morning determined to have good music on while cooking up the weekend breakfast for my loved one..as I'm gadget-challenged (and our 'home theater system' is possibly a spaceship in disguise) - I have had to write down all the instructions on a piece of paper just to turn the radio on.
Long story short- today is about All India Radio's (AIR) FM Rainbow (107.1 MHz). Now, this is a pleasant surprise- they play the best music between 8 and 11 AM every single day. Its English. Its diverse and eclectic - could be the Rocking 40's one day and the latest trance-electronica the next..(In the words of Forrest Gump..it's like a box of chocolates...)...but the best part of the show is not even the music! Its the AIR quirks..which you will ONLY find on AIR and other Government run services..as I like to say-'ITS SOOO BAD, THAT ITS GOOOOD!!!'....here are my Top 5 quirks..

15 days in Vietnam
My route>> Hanoi>>Halong Bay>>Sapa>>Hue>>HoiAn>>Nha Trang>>JungleBeach>HCMC>>Home
Month of travel- June (2009)
The single most striking thing about a holiday in Vietnam is the low representation of Indians in the country- either as tourists or as local residents. Unlike most other countries in Asia, Europe and of course the US; I hardly encountered any; and even those I did seemed to be American kids out with the rest of their friends.
But this could be for several reasons. Perhaps tourists find Vietnam looks very similar to India. While its towns like Hanoi and HCMC look almost like Delhi suburbs like Pitampura – with tall narrow houses build haphazardly – its more bountiful sights look a lot like any green rice paddy terraces in south India or lush mountains full of bamboo forests in the East. But after spending 15 days traveling from North to South Vietnam; I found that the country has a lot to more to offer; and is very very different from dear ole India...read on if you are planning a trip!

Women and Mobile Phones

Maaannn. OK so here I am. I'm trying to find myself a new Mobile Phone to upgrade from my totally useless (but good looking) motoming..finally had to accept that its not all about form, function matters too...ok so Im not very gadget-friendly but this is ridiculous..are there are no sites specially made to review phones that are suited to the needs of working women?? Do i spot a business opportunity here? A gadget consulting firm for women..hmm..
Anyways, so all the sites have reviews both good and bad..how do you trust that the good ones haven't been out up by enthusiastic company execs? So you only read the bad ones (by the way, its no coincidence that the BAD reviews have far more views than the good ones) and whats the outcome? ...
